A New Era for European Pickleball
Recently, we published a post announcing that Tournated has partnered with Road to Arlberg (RTA), powering the future of European pickleball!
Today, we want to share more details about the tour and our partnership.
The RTA Pickleball Tour is Europe’s premier competitive pickleball circuit, featuring top-tier events across countries including Sweden, Germany, France, Spain, England, Poland, and Austria.
The tour brings together the best players in Europe, who, based on their performance, will qualify for the European Finals — the prestigious Arlberg Pickleball Championship, held annually in December.
The RTA Pickleball Tour is designed to provide a platform for high-level competition. It consists of multiple events throughout the year, each offering valuable ranking points.
Only the best-performing players in these events will earn a spot in the European Finals. Tournament organizers must meet strict criteria to be included in the tour, ensuring that every event meets the high standards required for professional-level play.
The key feature of the RTA Pickleball Tour is its commitment to continuous development. The tour adapts to the growth of pickleball in Europe, introducing new venues and events to meet the expanding demand for competitive play.
Players and organizers alike benefit from this professional, dynamic environment.
The RTA Pickleball Tour offers players an unparalleled opportunity to compete in the best tournaments across Europe. By participating, players gain exposure to a high level of competition, helping them grow and improve their skills.
The tour also provides a structured, well-organized schedule that reduces the risk of conflicts, making it easier for players to compete in multiple top-tier events.
In addition to competitive advantages, players in the RTA Tour gain access to better sponsorship opportunities, as the tour’s professional platform attracts significant attention from sponsors looking to align with top-tier athletic talent.
This further increases the potential for players to secure sponsorship deals that benefit their careers, both on and off the court.
The RTA Pickleball Tour plays a key role in elevating the profile of pickleball in Europe. With each event, the tour helps develop and grow the sport, bringing in new fans, players, and organizers.
Over the next few years, RTA aims to further solidify pickleball’s position in the European sports landscape, ultimately helping it gain recognition as a major sport in the region.
The commitment to professionalism and continuous improvement across tournaments, from better venues to larger prize pools, ensures that the sport will continue to grow and evolve, attracting more talent and creating exciting opportunities for both players and sponsors.
From our experience, it’s an incredibly fun sport, and the community is unlike any other. The sense of camaraderie, the strong social bonds, and the mutual support between players are aspects we’ve found in no other sport to this extent.
Even at our tournaments, where high stakes are involved, the focus is always on the spirit of togetherness. Intense competition, full of passion and drive, takes place during the match, but once it’s over, any rivalry disappears completely – simply nonexistent. That’s what makes pickleball so special.
On top of that, we can’t forget the health benefits. Pickleball is scientifically proven to be one of the healthiest and most joint-friendly sports.
It’s a sport that can be played by anyone, from schoolchildren to seniors. Studies from Apple confirm these positive effects.
So, give this incredible sport a chance and try it out – we’re sure you’ll enjoy it. For those who are serious about pursuing a professional career, participating in our tour will provide a significant advantage.
The level of competition you’ll face will only help you improve and grow as a player. RTA stands for excellence in terms of competition, but also in every other aspect of pickleball in Europe.
We’re excited to welcome you on our journey!
The partnership between RTA Pickleball Tour and Tournated marks a significant step toward revolutionizing the pickleball landscape in Europe.
This collaboration brings a custom RTA platform, powered by Tournated, streamlining league and event management while enhancing the experience for players, sponsors, and organizers.
Altogether, it allows for a more efficient, professional tour, further establishing RTA as the go-to competitive series for top pickleball players in Europe.
We’re excited to support the growth of pickleball in Europe by providing cutting-edge technology to sports managers, organizers, referees, athletes, fans, and sponsors—elevating the game for all!
